The following conditions become contractual content.

Organizer
Last Frontier Heliskiing LTD. (hereinafter called LFH) is the organizer of the heli-skiing packages described in this brochure. The travel agency representing LFH is only a mediator authorized for encashment.

Registration and Payment
The space available for heliskiing in our remote wilderness lodge is limited. To avoid disappointment, we strongly suggest you register early. As indicated in our current pricelist, a deposit for each guest must to be made to LFH or your travel agent within 10 days of receiving a written reservation confirmation. The payment of the balance is due 90 days prior to the beginning of the heli-skiing package. If the payment balance required is not received by LFH or the travel agent on time, we reserve the right to cancel the reservation without notice to the skier and the deposit will be retained by LFH. For bookings made less than 90 days prior to the trip start date, the full package price is due at time of booking.

Cancellation
If a cancellation is necessary for any reason, it should be made by registered mail. If a confirmed reservation has to be cancelled more than 90 days before the beginning of the package, LFH will retain the deposit. The deposits for heli-skiing are totally non-refundable. If a cancellation is made less than 90 days before the arrival date, the total package payments will be retained. No cancellation fee has to be paid if the skier cancelling his package finds himself a suitable person as his substitute to take over the contractual obligations, but only if the cancelled space is still available.

Liability
By registering for a Last Frontier Heliskiing package you acknowledge the risks of mountainous areas in winter weather conditions. You are aware of the fact that even a highly qualified mountain-guide is not infallible and that, under these circumstances, he sees himself confronted with extreme situations which are not fully controllable. Therefore, his duty will only consist in limiting the risks to a minimum.

Each participant will be required to sign a RELEASE OF LIABILITY, WAIVER OF CLAIMS, ASSUMPTION OF RISKS AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT before being allowed to ski with us. These risks are described in this sample waiver.

All claims, irrespective of the nationality of the participants, shall be governed in all respects by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia.

Insurance
Trip cancellation and IN-Canada medical coverage can be purchased through LFH or your travel agent. Helicopter Evacuation Insurance can be purchased at the lodge. Other types of travel insurance that we recommend are:

  • Medical insurance to cover any hospital costs and ambulance expenses outside Canada
  • Personal insurance to cover loss of baggage, skis and personal belongings
  • Liability insurance
  • Make sure these insurances cover you for all parts of your vacation. Your travel agent will be happy to advise you and send you the appropriate documentation. Helicopter Evacuation insurance may be purchased upon your arrival at the lodge.

Various
The price of this heli-skiing package can be paid to LFH or your travel agent in Canadian funds or in your local currency. When paying with currencies other than Canadian funds (CAD), the exchange rate on the day of invoicing will be used. The participant is responsible for arriving on time at the designated departure point and for conforming to the Canadian Customs and Immigration Regulations. LFH or your travel agent will be pleased to assist you in booking your pre/post heliski hotels and arrangements.

To your specific attention
As this ski adventure can only be available to a few skiers due to the exclusive character of our operation, we ask you to thoroughly read our brochure and our price list before registering. According to your commitments, costly measures are taken and other interested guests may be turned away. Last Frontier Heliskiing is a member of the British Columbia Helicopter and Snowcat Skiing Operators Association. This association sets strict safety standards for operating a Helicopter and Snowcat skiing area. By skiing with Last Frontier Heliskiing Ltd. and its sister company TLH Heliskiing you can be assured of skiing with guides certified by the Association of Canadian Mountain Guides and/or the UIAGM, which follow a strict set of operating procedures.
